New Kansas is a 40-minute live action short, is a "Wise Guy" story with a "Wizard of Oz" twist. Joey is missing, and Richie is going to make somebody pay. Numerous twists take the viewer on a wild ride through the underworld, the real world and the gutters.

Future film classes will be studying the numerous plot twists, literary loops, foreshadows and subtle references. Although the viewers will be surprised at the ending the first time they view this short, in retrospect they will see the clues that pointed to the conclusion in this cutting edge Generation "Y" who-done-it.
